We tied the knot in a Civil marriage in Portugal in 2020, but this time, we want to invite you to come and celebrate with us our religious ceremony in Costa Rica

When Filipe and his friend Diogo arrived in Costa Rica on 26/06/2019, my friends Gilberth, Stephanie, Kincho and I went to San Jose downtown to receive them. I have to admit that when I saw Filipe for the first time, He immediately caught my eye, and I could feel a spark between us. It was already night, so we all went to eat at Spoon Restaurant, had shots in Calle de la Amargura and finished dancing and singing at a karaoke place at around 5 am. It was so much fun that night, but Filipe and I never stopped looking at each other, and later on, we just started to message on WhatsApp and ended up travelling around the country.
The rest, as they say, is history (or his story).

I decided to propose a religious ceremony in Costa Rica on our fourth wedding anniversary. Since Ana was 8 months pregnant, we could not travel abroad as we normally do for our anniversary celebrations, but I knew Ana's favourite place in England was Richmond as she has fond memories of our first dates there.
I booked a hotel with a Spa in Richmond, enjoyed a nice dinner at an Argentinian restaurant, and took a walk down to the lake, where I proposed. I went down on one knee, and she said yes with lots of tears running down her cheeks (nailed it!).
