CEREMONY

Join us as we say our vows at one of the most beautiful temples in Heredia with neo-Gothic style architecture, tall spires and pointed arches. It is located approximately 30 minutes by car from central Heredia and 20 minutes from the reception.

RECEPTION

From 4:15 PM - 11:00 PM

Villa Tremedal, Heredia 2XGH+G4C, Pará, 40602

After the ceremony, you are invited to the reception at Villa Tremedal, a private property surrounded by gardens and a beautiful lake with ducks.

DRESS CODE

Formal Attire. Forget about your jeans this day.

Ladies: Feel free to bring your favourite long dress, but avoid white, cream or similar colours.

Gentlemen: Pack your favourite suit and a sweet tie or bowtie.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Weather conditions is something that we can not control so please bear in mind that Costa Rican weather is kind of unpredictable and there is a transition between rainy season and dry season at the end of november so it is very likely there will be showers in some parts of the country. When travelling prepare yourself not only with warm clothing but also a light jacket and unbrella in case it's needed.

TRANSPORTATION

It is advisable to rent a car so you can explore the country. Please note this has to be done many months in advance so you can get good offers, as December is high season.

The best car recommended if you would like to travel stress-free is the Suzuki Jimmy ( it has never let us down) but any other 4*2 or 4*4 works.

TAXIS

Uber platform runs 24/7, it is cheap and a very reliable means of transportation.

WHERE TO STAY

We recommend using booking.com or airbnb to book any places close to Heredia.

WEDDING GIFTS

We are so grateful for your presence on our special day. If you'd like to give a gift, a monetary gift towards our new life would be warmly received, as we don't have space to carry physical gifts on a plane.

TRAVELLING RECOMMENDATION

If you are travelling from abroad, please book your flight tickets as soon as possible as prices increase considerably on these dates, but also give yourself a minimum of 2 full days to arrive before the wedding (remember jet lag hits hard). If you are travelling from 2 different time zones, for example: travelling from London to Canada and Canada to Costa Rica it is best to book a flight ticket on the 25th as normally you will be getting to your accommodation at night on the day that you arrive.

PLACES TO VISIT

MANUEL ANTONIO

There is a beautiful beach full of trees around, it has a National Park where you can sightsee animals, it is best to pay for the guided tour as they know where all the animals are hidden. You can also enjoy different water activities like parasailing, waterbikes or skydiving for the most adventurous. It's a perfect place to go with family, as a couple or only friends

LA FORTUNA, SAN CARLOS

You can enjoy the natural hot springs that come from the Arenal Volcano. I recommend Los Laureles, Baldi, for kids there is an acuatic park in Kalambú Hot Springs. You can also visit the Arenal Volcano, it is a long trail so it is better not to go with kids as you have to walk a lot through the humid tropical forest but it is a beautiful scene. You can also visit Rio Celeste.

POAS VOLCANO

This volcano is a must-see, and it's beautiful. It is recommended to go in the morning or early afternoon as the streets are very narrow in this area. It is worth going for lunch to any of the restaurants around the area ( all of them are great), as they offer great views and delicious authentic Costa Rican food. There are a few stops where you can buy souvenirs and try different typical sweets.

RINCON DE LA VIEJA NATIONAL PARK

You will be surprised to see a dry forest with a volcanic environment on a short journey. Emanations of boiling mud, boiling water and steam. You can do horseback riding around the area, we recommend Hacienda Guachipelin for this. Also, you can pay for a package to go to the Oropendola waterfall with emerald water, have lunch in the Hacienda Guachipelin and visit Lago negro hot springs.

You can go to Ponderosa Adventure Park near Liberia so you can see different wild animals in their habitat like giraffes, zebras and other animals that you can feed whilst doing a safari.

GUANACASTE REGION

Known for its beautiful beaches, surfing, and vibrant atmosphere, especially around Tamarindo beach. There is a large number of beaches, all of them with warm water, that you can visit. Las catarinas offer beautiful turquoise beaches.
